Remove The Deadline Campaign Launch!
With the 38 states needed to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment, only one hurdle stands in the way of enshrining gender equality into the Constitution of the United States of America: its deadline. After less than 3/4 of the states ratified the Equal Rights Amendment after its initial 7 year deadline set by Congress, Congress extended the deadline by an additional 3 years. That deadline of June 30th, 1982 still stands. It is up to us to ensure the removal of the deadline through both judicial and legislative advocacy. Join us in our campaign to remove the arbitrary deadline. Visit our Take Action page to learn more!
